Privacy Policy

This website is run by Chris Mahan, a musician based in Bristol, New York (“Chris,” “I,” “me”). This policy explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Questions go to cmahan1@yahoo.com.

What you send me

If you use the booking form, I receive what you type into it: your name, email address, venue or event, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, town, preferred date, which act you’re interested in, and any details you add.

If you text or email me instead, I receive whatever you include in that message, the same as any text or email.

What the site collects on its own

This site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or social media plug-ins. The fonts, music and video are served from this site itself, not from outside services.

The show schedule is kept in a Google Sheet. When you open a page that lists upcoming shows, your browser loads the schedule directly from Google, so Google receives the same basic technical information any website does, such as your IP address and browser type. Google handles that under its own privacy policy. No information about you is sent to the sheet.

The company that hosts the site, Netlify, automatically records basic technical information when any page is requested, such as IP address, browser type and the page visited. Netlify uses these server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure. I don’t use them to identify visitors.

How I use your information

Only to reply to your inquiry and to plan, confirm and play the show you asked about. I don’t sell, rent or trade your information, and I don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be on one.

Who else handles it

• Netlify hosts the site, stores booking form submissions and forwards them to my email.
• My email provider holds the messages I receive.
• Google serves the show schedule, as described above. It does not receive anything you type into the booking form.
• SiteSculpt, the studio that built and maintains this site, may see form submissions while doing that work.

I may also share information if the law requires it.

How long I keep it

I keep booking messages for as long as I need them to handle your request and keep reasonable records of the shows I play. You can ask me to delete yours at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you’ve sent me by emailing cmahan1@yahoo.com. I’ll respond within a reasonable time.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and I take reasonable steps to protect what you send. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don’t send anything through the form that you need to keep strictly private, such as payment details.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I’ll delete it.

Other websites

Links to venues, ticket pages or social media take you to sites with their own privacy policies, which I don’t control.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
